Belated Birthdays

The Old Curmudgeon has been quite busy lately and has fallen behind in his blogging duties. He offers some recent pictures of birthdays celebrated.

In February, Lauren celebrated the 9th anniversary of her birth by hosting a little get together with a High School Musical theme. Bobbie, of course, made the cake.

Lauren and her girls decorated sunglasses, had their nails done and watched the High School Musical DVD.

Lauren's present was tickets to attend HSM at the Murat Theater in March. Her mother will be attending with her. The Old Curmudgeon considers that to be a gift to him as well.

March ushered in Grif's 13th birthday. It is hard to believe that we have a teenager on our hands. Somehow we didn't get a picture of him sporting his prized Green Day hat. We did catch him with the Marvel superhero shirt his sister selected for him.

And there he is with his new set of wheels. Poor guy is still riding the bike on which he originally learned. Normally, the weather on his birthday is quite nice -- Springlike. Unfortunately, this year there was a snowstorm and, ergo, no test-ride of the new bike. Ah, well, something to look forward. Instead of the traditional party, Grif has opted to host a outing for his posse to a movie to be designated in the future.

Grif has informed us that his baseball career is on hiatus, as this year he is opting to go out for track. Track practice will, no doubt, keep him in much better shape, but The Old Curmudgeon is already a little nostalgic about the ball field...
